IVR hotlines

Open a hotline in an afternoon

A hotline is just folders: a menu here, a recording there, a voicemail box at the end. Build it in the portal — or dial in and build it from your handset.

How it goes together

  1. 1Pick a numberTake a 605 extension in seconds, or point a direct local number at it.
  2. 2Drop in boxesMenu, Play, Record, Voicemail, Transfer — each one is a folder you configure.
  3. 3Record the audioUpload files or record greetings from your phone; change them any time.
  4. 4Go liveCallers are in. Watch the calls, listen to recordings, tweak as you go.

The boxes you'll use most

Playing & recording

  • Menu — The caller hears options and presses a number to go somewhere.
  • Play — Plays the audio files in a folder, with next/previous, rewind/forward, choose a file by number and announced file numbers.
  • Time Play — Like Play, but filtered by date and time — only today's files, or a date range.
  • Record — The caller records a message; it's saved to a folder and can be emailed, with listen, re-record and save options.
  • Voicemail — A classic message box — callers leave a message, the owner gets it.

Getting around the hotline

  • Jump To — Sends the caller to another place in the hotline.
  • Dial — The caller types an extension number to go straight there.
  • Divide — Splits callers between destinations instead of everyone landing in one place.
  • Clone Folder — Copies an existing folder structure, like a template.
  • Hangup — Ends the call, optionally after playing a message.

Calling out & routing

  • Call — Dials an outside number and connects the caller, with music-on-hold, optional recording and emailing.
  • Transfer — Moves the caller to another number or extension.
  • Router — Advanced routing by the number dialed, the time, or who's calling — including carrier gateway choices.
  • Time Dial — Time rules: business hours go here, nights and weekends go there, timezone-aware.
  • Campaign — Dials out to a whole list of numbers from a CSV and plays a message or connects them, rate-controlled.

People & data

  • Directory (Contacts) — A phone directory: find a person and connect.
  • Filter · by labels — Routes callers by labels on their contact — VIP, member, region.
  • Filter · by subscription — Routes based on whether the caller is a paying member.
  • List Management — Whitelist, blacklist and registration lists callers can be added to.
  • Access Filter — A gate before entering: PIN, caller-ID check or list check.

Admin & control

  • Admin — Full phone-side management: manage files and folders from the phone.
  • Limited Admin — The same, with restricted permissions.
  • Create Extension — Lets an authorized caller create a new extension by phone.
  • Config — A settings box that changes behavior for everything underneath it.
  • API — Mid-call, asks an outside system a question and acts on the answer — pairs with customer API keys.

Built for people who live on the phone

Shuls and schools, radio lines, help desks, daily shiurim, order lines, community news — if it rings, it fits.
